When you’re arranging a wedding, you have so much to think about. From dresses and guest lists to venues and ceremonies, there is so much you can’t outsource so wherever you can pay someone more experienced to do the job, do it! We cannot overestimate the value of tried and trusted wedding suppliers to take the stress out of your big day and at our wedding venue in Kildare we exclusively use the highest quality suppliers. Of course, you are free to choose suppliers you love, but if you’re planning a wedding or civil ceremony in Kildare, we have some recommendations.
Photographer
It’s impossible to remember every part of your big day. Between getting ready, speaking to guests and crying at the speeches, you won’t remember the finer details. It’s the job of the photographer to be your eyes, capturing the moments you don’t want to miss. A good wedding photographer is invisible on the day but has a big impact on your wedding memories. Our two preferred photographers have unique styles of wedding photography, depending on which matches your style and preference. Les Kelly Photography (0851198633, [email protected]) style incorporates all four styles of wedding photography to suit your taste. Shane Briggs at BDC ([email protected]) photography has a candid style of photography, capturing natural images with little posing or input.
Cakes
The cake is an integral part of the wedding set-up. While some go above and beyond with five tiers of bright white icing, others prefer naked cakes, with little design and a few fresh flowers for decoration. Cake fillings are one of the few parts of the wedding that is completely personalisable. Some prefer a traditional fruit cake while others go for a more modern flavoured sponge, chocolate biscuit or another delicious cake filling. The two master bakers that we often recommend to guests are Amazing Cakes (01 282 4507, [email protected]) and Creative Cakes (087 7638300, [email protected]) each with their own skills and specialities to offer.
Flowers
Flowers elevate an event, lending an air of luxury and opulence. Osprey Hotel ballroom is an elegant, stylish space whose already opulent atmosphere is elevated by the addition of some beautiful blooms. Fresh flowers add freshness, colour and often a wonderful smell to a wedding set-up and can be used across your church, civil ceremony venue and wedding celebration venue. Use them to decorate guest tables, cake tables, welcome tables or seating plans and so much more. AbFab Flowers (01-6272289, [email protected]) specialise in fresh flowers in all shapes and sizes while Evergreen Silk Flowers ([email protected]) offer a more cost-effective, sustainable alternative.
Event Suppliers
While our Kildare wedding and civil ceremony venue strives to provide our couples with as much as possible as part of the wedding package, some couples have very specific designs in mind. If you want to elevate your wedding and truly impress your guests, a wedding supply company can help. Wow-Weddings and Event Suppliers (0879932357, [email protected]) provide all of the little extras that our guests love such as Wedding and Event Decor, Wedding Stationery, Wedding Hampers, award-winning Wedding and much more. Sensational Events (087-0533501, [email protected]) have fun extras like Selfie Mirrors and booths, Sparkle Dance Floor, Chocolate Fountain, LED Lights and more.
Wedding Band
The morning after a wedding, the only complaint you want to hear from guests is how sore their feet are from dancing. Make sure your guests have a brilliant night when you choose music that’s right for your celebration. A good band and DJ can really make the evening of your wedding, setting the mood for guests to dance the night away. Livewire (087 2582248, [email protected]) is our preferred band and they never fail to get the party started. This lively three-piece play everything from the classics to modern-day tunes. 52nd Street (086 3984402, [email protected]) extensive set list caters for all ages and covers all genres and styles of music. They can provide music for the entire day from the ceremony to the National Anthem.
Celebrant
If you’re planning a Civil Ceremony in our Kildare wedding venue, it can be hard to decide on a celebrant. After all, this is usually the first and last time you’ll get married! Choosing a celebrant is a very personal decision for a couple and should not be rushed. We recommend meeting a few options before making your decision. Antoinette Coleman Kelly (087 2482745, [email protected]) and Trisha Bonham Corcoran (087 985514, [email protected]) are two of our chosen wedding celebrants, each offering a unique and beautiful style of ceremony.
